Michael Mayer Dynasty Value

Notre Dame's most productive tight end in a generation and the alpha of their passing game for two straight years. Mayer finished with 175 receptions for 2048 yards and 18 touchdowns across 35 games, establishing himself early with 37 catches as a true freshman in 2020 before exploding for 71 receptions and 840 yards with 7 touchdowns as a sophomore and 67 receptions and 809 yards with 9 scores as a junior. Career averages of 5.0 catches and 58.5 yards per game, numbers that would play at wide receiver, and the 18 touchdowns confirm genuine scoring ability across all three levels. 249 pounds with a 4.70 forty and 32.5-inch vertical, an athletic profile that tested below what you want from a top-tier NFL tight end. That testing is the reason he fell to R2.35 despite owning the most complete college resume in this class. The production demands a TE1 projection. The measurables argue for something less. It comes down to whether you believe the three years of dominance at Notre Dame or the one afternoon in Indianapolis.
