Joe Burrow Dynasty Value

There's the career, and then there's 2019. Burrow spent two forgettable years at Ohio State (226 passing yards combined over 10 games), transferred to LSU, and put up a decent 57.8% completion with 2,893 yards and 16 touchdowns in his first season in Baton Rouge. Nothing about that 2018 tape screams generational. Then Joe Brady installed his offense and Burrow turned in perhaps the greatest single season in college football history: 76.3% completion, 5,671 yards, 378.1 yards per game, 60 touchdowns to 6 interceptions. A 7.1:1 career TD/INT ratio across 38 games with 8,851 passing yards and 821 rushing yards (13 rushing touchdowns) paints the full picture of a player who can extend plays when needed. At 221 pounds with no combine forty on record, the physical profile is adequate, not special. The dynasty question that hangs over everything: that 2019 LSU roster had Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Burrow went from 222.5 yards per game to 378.1 in one offseason. How much of that jump was development, and how much was the most loaded offensive roster college football has ever assembled? R1.1 for a quarterback whose meteoric rise from career backup to Heisman winner is either the greatest late bloom in draft history or a product of circumstances impossible to replicate at the next level.
