Cam Ward Dynasty Value

From Incarnate Word to Washington State to Miami to first overall, Ward's transfer portal odyssey is one of the most improbable paths to QB1 in draft history. The arm was never in question. Across 39 career games he completed 66.0% of his passes for 11,639 yards (298.4 per game) with 91 touchdowns and 24 interceptions, a 3.8:1 ratio that improved every stop along the way. His 2024 Miami season was the crescendo: 67.2% completion, 4,313 yards at 331.8 per game, 39 touchdowns against just 7 picks. That's a massive leap from his WSU years, where he threw 23 touchdowns against 9 interceptions in 2022 and 25 against 7 in 2023. Ward added 383 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns over his career at 219 pounds, enough to keep defenses honest without being a true dual-threat. No forty time on file from the combine. R1.1 for a gunslinger whose competitive fire burned bright enough to push him from FCS obscurity to the top of the board, with the bet that the same fearlessness that makes him electric won't become recklessness at the next level.
