His 2022 Duke season was the most balanced year: 63.9% completion, 2,967 yards at 228.2 per game, 20 touchdowns, 6 picks, plus 698 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns. The passing, though, was always the secondary skill. Career numbers: 63.8% completion, 7,311 yards at only 174.1 per game, 45 touchdowns, 18 interceptions (2.5:1 ratio). At Notre Dame in 2024 he averaged just 178.8 passing yards per game with 21 touchdowns and 8 interceptions, a step back as a thrower even as the wins piled up.
