Rashod Bateman Dynasty Value

Three years at Minnesota under P.J. Fleck. Rashod Bateman was the premier wide receiver in the Big Ten before opting out after just 5 games in the 2020 COVID season. The sophomore year was the showcase: 93.8 receiving yards per game with 4.6 receptions and 11 touchdowns across 13 games. The brief junior window continued the trajectory at 94.4 yards per game with 7.2 receptions before he stepped away. Across 31 career games: 4.7 receptions, 77.3 yards per game, and 19 touchdowns with a 16.3 yards-per-reception average. Bateman is a polished route runner who wins with technique and contested-catch ability. 190 pounds at 6'2" with 4.43 speed and a 36-inch vertical. The physical profile is solid without being elite in any one area. What stands out on tape is the ability to win at the catch point against press coverage, something that translates directly to the NFL regardless of scheme. The opt-out and limited junior sample mean the final impression is a 5-game window, but the first two years were dominant enough to justify the first-round selection. Playing alongside Tyler Johnson as a freshman, Bateman quickly established himself as the alpha by his sophomore year.
