John Metchie Dynasty Value

Born in Taiwan, raised in Ghana and then Canada. Three years at Alabama under Nick Saban with a steady rise: 5.8 yards per game as a freshman, 71.2 as a sophomore, and 87.8 as a junior with 7.4 receptions before a torn ACL ended his season in the SEC Championship Game. 14 touchdowns in 29 games with 5.2 receptions and 69.6 career yards per game. Metchie was the WR2 alongside Jameson Williams at Alabama, operating as the reliable possession target while Williams stretched deep. 13.4 yards per reception and no official combine testing. At 6'0" and 187 pounds the size is adequate for an NFL slot, and the route-running polish from Alabama's system is evident. R2.44 to Houston for a polished Alabama receiver whose international backstory is remarkable and whose torn ACL creates significant early-career uncertainty.
