Pre-draft scouting report
The 2018 Biletnikoff Award winner as a true sophomore at Alabama. Jerry Jeudy won college football's top wide receiver honor with 68 receptions for 1315 yards and 14 touchdowns. That sophomore season under Nick Saban featured 87.7 receiving yards per game, and the route-running ability that earned the award was the most technically refined of any prospect in this draft. Jeudy's ability to create separation at the top of routes with sharp cuts and deceptive footwork is legitimately elite. Three years in Tuscaloosa produced 26 touchdowns and a 17.2 career yards-per-reception average across 36 games. The junior year held steady at 89.5 yards per game with 5.9 receptions and 10 touchdowns. The caveat is that Jeudy played alongside Ruggs, Smith, and Waddle, the deepest receiver room in college football, which both depressed his volume and elevated his efficiency. 193 pounds at 6'1" with 4.45 speed and a 35-inch vertical is good but not freakish. The highest WR taken in this draft for the best route runner in the class, whose technical polish and separation ability should make him an instant contributor but whose physical profile may cap the ceiling below the truly elite tier.
