Gardner Minshew Dynasty Value

Minshew's story is one of the best in this class. Two middling seasons at East Carolina (2016: 1,347 yards at 192.4/g, 58.9% completion, 8 touchdowns, 4 interceptions in 7 games; 2017: 2,140 yards at 214.0/g, 57.2%, 16 touchdowns, 7 interceptions in 10 games) gave no indication of what was coming. Then he transferred to Washington State, walked into Mike Leach's Air Raid, and produced one of the most prolific single seasons in recent college football: 4,776 yards (367.4/g), 70.7% completion, 38 touchdowns, 9 interceptions in 13 games. Career across 30 games: 8,263 yards (275.4/g), 62 touchdowns, 20 interceptions, 65.2% completion, and a 3.1:1 TD/INT ratio. The question is obvious. Was the 2018 explosion Minshew or Leach? The Air Raid has produced absurd stats and very few NFL starters for years. At 225 pounds with a 4.97 forty and 33.5-inch vertical, there is zero rushing upside (43 career rushing yards, 4 rushing touchdowns). R6.178 for an Air Raid system product whose legendary senior season is either the most obvious late-round steal in this class or the most predictable output of the most quarterback-friendly scheme in college football.
