Davis Mills Dynasty Value

Thirteen games. That is the entire body of work NFL teams used to justify spending a Day 2 pick on Mills. Across those 13 games at Stanford he completed 64.9% of his passes for 3,025 yards (232.7 per game), 15 touchdowns and 5 interceptions for a clean 3.0:1 ratio. His 2019 season provided the bulk of the sample: 8 games, 65.4%, 1,943 yards at 242.9 per game, 11 touchdowns and 5 interceptions with 44 rushing yards. The 2020 campaign was COVID-shortened to just 4 games, but the efficiency held up nicely (65.1%, 1,082 yards, 270.5 per game, 4 touchdowns, zero picks, 25 rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns). His 2018 appearance was a single game with 0-for-2 passing. Career rushing totals of 74 yards and 3 touchdowns across 13 games confirm this is strictly a pocket passer. No combine data exists on file, so the physical evaluation is entirely tape-based. Stanford's pro-style system is a proven developmental pipeline for NFL signal-callers, which helps explain the draft capital. R3.67 for a Stanford system quarterback whose accuracy and poise in limited action were enough to warrant investment, but whose 13-game sample makes any confident projection essentially impossible.
