Clayton Thorson Dynasty Value

Thorson started all four years at Northwestern and racked up 53 games of Big Ten experience. The volume is there. The quality is not. A 58.3% career completion rate with 10,729 passing yards (202.4/g), 61 touchdowns, and 45 interceptions produces a 1.4:1 TD/INT ratio that ranks among the worst for any drafted quarterback in recent memory. Season by season, the passing efficiency essentially flatlined: 50.8% as a freshman (2015), 58.6% as a sophomore, 60.4% as a junior, 60.8% as a senior. That is four years of marginal improvement that never cracked 61%. The interceptions hit double digits in three of four seasons (9, 9, 12, 15), with the senior year being the worst. The rushing dimension is genuinely interesting, though: 408 career yards and 27 rushing touchdowns across 53 games, including 9 rushing touchdowns as a senior despite recording negative rushing yardage that year. At 222 pounds, the frame is adequate, but no combine forty is on record. R5.167 for a four-year starter whose durability and experience are the selling points, but whose efficiency and decision-making never progressed enough to project anything beyond a developmental arm at the back of an NFL roster.
